Recently, Professor YAN Ruqiang of Internatioal Center for Machinery, iHarbour Academy for Frontier equipment of our university, was awarded the 2019 Technical Award, IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society. The award speech of Professor YAN Ruqiang was: "For significant contributions to energy efficient sensing and advanced data analytics". This award fully demonstrates the international influence in the field of instrumention and measurement of Professor YAN.
Since joining the university in March 2018, Professor YAN Ruqiang has been selected as a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME Fellow).He has taken charge of a great variety of scientific projects such as key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and key special projects of the National Key Research and Development Program "Network Collaborative Manufacturing and Smart Factory",focusing on intelligent information processing, fault diagnosis and prediction of major equipment.
Currently, he is vice chairman of IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, Chairman of Technical Committee of Signals and Systems in Measurement (TC-7) technical committee for IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, Associate Editor-in-Chief of International journal IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, Editorial board of IEEE Systems Journal and IEEE sensors Journal, and has led the development of one IEEE international standard.
