The journal Intelligent Equipment is led by Editor-in-Chief Lu Bingheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, with Professor Lei Yaguo from the School of Mechanical Engineering serving as Executive Editor-in-Chief. It is co-organized by the School of Mechanical Engineering and the Journal Center.

Aligned with the national strategy of intelligent manufacturing and high-end equipment outlined in Made in China 2025, the journal focuses on areas such as intelligent design, robotic systems, industrial artificial intelligence, and digital twins. It aims to establish itself as an international academic hub for full-chain research covering the “design–manufacturing–operation–maintenance” lifecycle of intelligent equipment. The journal is scheduled to be officially launched in 2026.
